Parents,
I know we have been doing this learing for a while now and it is exhausting. Please let me know how I can help. I have new packets ready for the students. You can pick those up today or Monday. I have made a few adjustments to the packets to hopefully help. We have a shorter writing assignment and different reading comprehension pages that I think the students will be more successful independently on. These will alternate every other day.  Please turn in all of your work that you have completed. Please let me know how I can help.

Cooking with kids provides some great hands on learning about measuring and fractions.  It also created great opportunities to build relationships in your home.  I plan to make these with my kids this weekend!

Try to take a test for Reading Counts.  Our school has a goal to reach 45,000 point by the end of the year.  We are currently at 38,000 points. Keep on Reading! I took a few tests today!

Fun Activities

Do some coding today.  Visit Code.org.  There are lots of games to choose from. The students have been working on course work in their computer class.  You can also find some fun games in the Hour of Code section.  Coding teaches students some valuable problem solving skills, persistence and give students an opportunity to explore. PBS Kids also has Scratch Jr.  Student can create all sorts of projects on Scratch Jr with their favorite PBS Kids characters.  Hope you have fun coding today!

April Fool's!

Was anyone disappointed about the April Fool's truck nature played on us?
I have been hoping for warmer weather. 

Here is our lesson for today. 


I had trouble with the video today and it cuts off about 10 seconds too early.  The sample equation is 2+4= ? The solution is 6 dogs. 


Mrs. Law wanted me to send you the information regarding the Farm Bureau Poster Contest.

What happens to wheat after farmers grow and harvest it? 


The posters are due May 19th.  This is an optional activity for students but there will be prizes awarded at the final school assembly. I will send you some epic books that might help you with your research! Mrs. Law said you can either print this page or you can do it on another paper/poster.
