Please take time to read some books and take a test. Our school is getting closer to reaching our goal. Remember there are many books on EPIC!

Summer Reading

Reading is something that is so important over the summer. I have compiled some ideas to help your child have fun reading this summer!

Sign up for the summer reading program at our public library. They offer great incentives for readers.
Use EPIC! The library through EPIC is really fabulous. Your child can even build their fluency by reading along to the “Read-to-Me” books
Sign up for Scholastic Home Base Summer Read-A-Palooza (https://www.scholastic.com/site/summer/home.html)
Students should now be able to access their IStation accounts all summer long.
Complete the summer Reading Challenge pages attached.
Read a book the do a fun STEM activity that goes along with it. You can find lots of ideas on Pinterest.
Youtube has lots of read aloud videos. Check out the ones I have posted on the blog. Many of the ones I have posted have a channel and will have other read aloud stories

Week of May 18

Any work posted after May 15th is optional. Nothing will be turned in or graded. If students would like to continue working on educational activities, I have provided some resources and options. I will just do a weekly post.
Students will continue to have access to IStation and IReady for the remainder of the school year. I believe that it will be turned off May 29th.

Fun Activities:
Cougar Paw Guess
Each year the student have a chance to guess how many cougar paws our school had earned. We have a google form that student can fill out to make their guess. We will be giving out prizes to the top three closest guesses. After winners are announced, they can come to the school to get their prize. Please only make 1 guess per student.
